Fresh figs stuffed with Gorgonzola & walnut wrapped in Proscuitto with honey drizzle
- fresh mission figs or green figs when in season
- crumbled Gorgonzola or blue cheese also can substitute for goat cheese
- shelled walnut halves
- sliced Proscuitto Di Parma
- honey for drizzle
With a sharp paring knife cut each fig in half. Stuff each fig with approximately one teaspoon of crumbled Gorgonzola or Blue cheese and one walnut half. Wrap each fig with one half of a slice Proscuitto di Parma. (Can substitute Serano Ham if more easily available) Arrange on serving plate and drizzle with honey.
